Spring news from Mia & Tanya at Bowden Knight

Here comes Spring!

It's been a busy couple of months here at Bowden Knight. We have found it a little hard to say goodbye to some of our favourite items of stock, but I'm sure we'll get used to this as time goes on.

It's also been lovely to show off our studio to visitors and with spring definitely in the air we are looking forward to seeing more of you.

We are delighted to be working with local fashion + lifestyle store Hero in Stockbridge.

It's a great opportunity to show how Antique furniture can work well and bring a real depth to contemporary interiors. Our collection, which is available to buy, provides a beautiful backdrop for Hero's stock, the luxury of cashmere against rich mahogany and the warmth and age of gilt frames showcasing contemporary jewellery. Be sure to pop into Hero next time you are in Stockbridge, for a little bit of everyday luxury.

Introducing the lovely BeauVamp

There is something about these wonderful handcrafted shades that fits so well with Bowden Knight's unique collection. The shades work beautifully with our decorative standard lamps.

Happy St Patrick's Day

Here's a little sparkle to help you celebrate St Patrick's Day on 17th March. The Black Velvet came about in the Brooks Club, London, in 1861. Champagne was considered too frivolous a drink as the nation was still mourning the death of Prince Albert. The bartender threw a proverbial widows veil over the Champagne thus creating this unusual cocktail.

Half fill your Champagne flutes with Guinness and then slowly top up with chilled Champagne ... enjoy.
